TRAIL UPDATE 22/01/26: Trail open Kawakawa to Horeke. Temporary closure Taumarere to Kawakawa due to surface flooding probably until Saturday, unless a lot more water comes off the hills. Train users to board at Kawakawa with Bay of Islands Railway. Remainder of trail is open, but please remain aware and vigilant of hazards.
