Board the Ranui on Hokianga with your bike to cross the harbour – the knowledgeable skippers tell you the most amazing stories and bring the Hokianga Harbour to life. This trip becomes a memorable part of your time on the cycle trail, giving you the chance to explore the area, and really understand what makes this part of Aotearoa special.

The most common trip is from the wharf at Māngungu Mission House across to Kohukohu.

Currently, scheduled cycle transport is available between Māngungu Mission House wharf and Kohukohu wharf every Tuesday and Thursday with pickups/drop offs flexible across those locations. Be sure to let the team know at the time of booking.

On your arrival to Kohukohu cycle west 3.9 km to The Narrows and take the car ferry over the Hokianga harbour to Rawene.
Alternatively, on your arrival to Māngungu Mission you will continue your journey along the cycle trail towards Hōreke township.

Three hour scenic tours can be booked from Rawene, Kohukohu, Māngungu Mission and Hōreke township and are organised on a case by case situation. Minimum numbers/costs apply.
