Steph (Northland) – I was welcomed onto the marae and at once felt at home, this is a family run Marae and is just so beautiful and non-commercialized.  The food and hospitality was amazing, and it is a truly beautiful setting to relax in.  As a kiwi I have had many cultural experiences and I think each one is different, this really stuck in my mind for its authenticity and the incredible feeling of being “made to feel at home” on the marae. Plus you can’t beat the food – delicious!!
