The Opua General Store remains one of the few traditional over-the-water stores in New Zealand and is a relaxing stopping point for cyclists, walkers and travelers alike. Visitors can rest and enjoy our Espresso coffee, daily fresh baked bread, lunch bar and bakery treats, cold drinks and ice creams on the special deck area out over the water. Open 7 days from 6.30am until early evening.

You can also hire medium and large mountain bikes from the store for 2 hours, a half day, or full day.
