Opua to Kawakawa – OPEN
The cycle trail has been constructed up to Long Bridge (6.8km) in Taumarere and decking work is due for completion June 2014. The section between Taumarere and Kawakawa runs alongside live rail and cyclists can enjoy a vintage rail experience on Gabriel, the steam train or formed cycleway beside the rail corridor.
